Humanity+ UK is pleased to announce that a two day conference will be held in London’s Conway Hall on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th January 2011.

This event will build on the success of our 2010 London event but will incorporate several important improvements:

  • Speaker and panel sessions during the day will be followed by a buffet dinner in the same venue in the evening, to allow a rich mix of conversations to continue uninterrupted
  • More time during the day will be allocated to questions and debate involving audience members
  • The event will be supported, not just by Humanity+ UK, but by Humanity+ HQ, and by Humanity+ associates from around the world.

The proposed theme of the conference is “Making a human difference“.  Proposed sub-themes include:

  1. Technology that enhances humans
  2. Existential risks: the biggest human difference
  3. Citizen activism in support of Humanity+
  4. Humanity vs. Humanity+: criticisms and renewal
  5. Roadmapping the new human future.

More details will be announced shortly!

Anyone who wishes to help in any way with the planning or organisation of this event should contact humanityplusuk AT gmail DOT com.

Small print: The venue is subject to change – since we have just decided that the event will last two days, instead of just one.

David,
I would be interested in filming the event in Full HD again! I should have the first film edited by then! It would be great to meet with people and talk about the film-making process!

Yes please!
I hope the date suits your schedule.
It will be great to involve student groups who are aware of the potential of the Humanity+ ideas and who want to do projects about this.

Will there be a call for speakers?
